About the game.
India: the RPG is a text-based, play-by-post roleplaying game that takes place in a forum environment. The in-character world is themed to the lives of animals residing in India; tigers, lions, leopards, wolves, dholes, cobras, peacocks, and more.
We strive for quality, fun roleplay set in a lush environment. We encourage fairly realistic roleplay, with plenty of room for fun. Powergaming and harassment will not be tolerated in the least -- we're all here for the same purpose, to have a good time.
The administrative staff are a friendly bunch, and are always around if you have questions or need help. And they're certainly not just bystanders; they love the roleplay and get involved with it.
And what about roleplaying in a forum environment? Is it hard? It is complicated? Is it even fun? .. it's fun AND easy. Our customizable profiles provide space for players to document their characters, including their descriptions, family trees, history, and more. It's easy to find out more about a character and their player just by viewing their profile. During roleplay, you'll have all the basic info you need at a glance, as other players' name, gender, age, and species are displayed directly under their character's photo with each post.
As we all know, it can be frustrating trying to get a group of people together for roleplay. Real life circumstances often make it difficult for players to gather in real-time environments, such as MUCKs, MUDs, chat rooms, etc. On a forum, this is not a problem. Roleplay is relaxed and time constraints are eased. Players are allowed time to work roleplay into their hectic schedules, and more time can be given to quality, well thought out roleplay.
... and what of India MUCK? Well, India: the RPG is a continuation of the world and stories that began there. The RPG has been built by the very same team that brought India MUCK to life. The Natakiya tiger clan still exists, as does the Sandhi lion pride, while the lands of Mahadvipa and Shanata remain neutral territories open to all. Familiar characters are still around, and the RPG welcomes former players of India MUCK to regain their characters and continue their journeys.
While it's true that India got its start in the form of a MUCK, players who were not a part of the MUCK will find the RPG fun and enjoyable. We welcome new players to join us and begin journeys of their own.
